From the Ground(s) Up: A Retrospective of TCAT’s Roots and Rising Future

The Trenton Community A-Team (TCAT) returns to Grounds For Sculpture with From the Ground(s) Up—a powerful celebration of 25 years of grassroots creativity, community, and transformation.

Founded by a group of self-taught artists at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), TCAT has grown from humble beginnings into a vital part of the Trenton arts scene. This retrospective highlights the evolution of the organization through a vibrant mix of past and present works from both longtime and newer TCAT artists.

Join us for the opening reception on July 11th, where you’ll have the chance to meet the artists, hear their stories, and celebrate their creative journeys. The event will feature live music by TASK’s own Funk-TASK-tics and moving poetry from participants in TASK’s writing program.

From the Ground(s) Up is more than an exhibition—it’s a tribute to resilience, expression, and the enduring power of art to uplift lives.
